Sports Nutrition requires Essential Oils

Some avoid oils and fats, but there are many essential oils that are required by the body. Not too much but just the right quantity, they are like lubrication for the human machine to properly run. The reason most people avoid fats and oils is that most people get the wrong kind of fat. The typical american diet is abundant in fried foods like french fries, fried chicken, pork chops, churros, and other popular fried foods. Everyone, especially sportsmen, need the healthy mostly-unsaturated essential oils and fats for the body to properly function.

Vitamins like A, E, D and K are fat soluble vitamins which need to be ingested with fats for the body to absorb them from food and deliver them to the body. These vitamins are needed by athletes to keep their bodies in shape. Essential oils are also a source of energy and they help build healthy, new cell membranes and eicosanoids. Eicosanoids are a fatty carbon compound needed to control body regulatory systems, involving inflammation and immunity. Also, eicosanoids act as messengers in the central nervous system, the complex neural networks in our bodies. Essential oils are needed for our bodies to run smoothly and function properly.

Olive oil is one of the healthier oils, and has been used by the Greeks and Romans for Millenia.

One great oil containing essential oils for sports nutrition is flaxseed oil. Flaxseed oil is rich in linoleic and alpha linoleic-acids, importan unsaturated omega-6 fatty acids. The body can't function without these linoleic acids. Deficiency in linoleic acids can cause loss of hair, dry hair and wound won't heal, sometimes leading to serious organic failures. Flaxseed oil helps against autoimmune deficiency diseases and is easily taken as a supplement.

Cod liver oil is another great essential oil supplement. It's rich in vitamins A and D. Vitamin A is essential for good eyesight. Vitamin D can be absorbed from sunlight by the skin, but supplements are needed if you don't get enough sunlight. Cod liver oil can supply the vitamin D needed by the body to regulate calcium absorption. Lack of vitamin D can cause malabsorption of calcium, which weakens bones.

Fish essential oil supplements provide Omega3, a heart protector, essential for the body. Fatty parts of fish like the stomach and head hold large amounts of fatty oils containing Omega3. Even tuna is a good easy source for Omega3. Omega3 betters heart functioning by helping the heart to pump and by clearing arteries of harmful low density cholesterol. Omega3 can help lower the heart rate, which allows the heart to provide oxygen-rich blood to the brain and bodily organs. A lower heart beat helps the athlete stay less tired: he doesn't get out of breath and weaken.

Essential oil supplements should not be taken without consulting a doctor, if you are taking medication. Above all, don't overdo intake of essential oil supplements, as oils accumulate in the body and are not excreted like water soluble vitamins and supplements and can rise to toxic levels.
